I got this candle because I, like many women, have felt disconnected from my divine feminine power in the face of tragedy, stress, and burnout. I often stated a desire to get back in touch with my elusive inner child, to rekindle the spark of the maiden-self, and bring that light and passion into my mother-self (and eventually, crone-self). This candle helped bring about everything I'd been searching for.
First off, it's quite large, bigger than a typical seven day candle and I found that it burned a true seven days, almost down to the hour. It doesn't have much of an odor, which is fine by me. As far as its effects go, I noticed it really take off about halfway through. It's been about two weeks since it finished and I'm really pleased. My only issue is that it didn't burn super cleanly-- the coin inside knocked the wick off center and it leaned so far to the side that the hot glass damaged the label. I had to fish the coin out and move the wick back over which nearly put the flame out, which is obviously not ideal. There was a lot of wax left on the sides of the jar that wasn't easy to clean out, but that just happens sometimes.
The main reason I'm still giving this five stars instead of four is because the candle is really potent, I adore the coin that came in it, and having to fish it out and realign the flame felt symbolic of the reasons I chose to light it. That said, if I hadn't been paying attention, it probably would have ruined the candle. I'm an "every part of the buffalo" person, so I cleaned out the wax (which was a bit difficult) and since the glass is sturdy, repurposed it for propagating plants (which is also part of my personal RotQ journey). I'm obsessed with the art and prayer on the label, so I peeled it off and placed it on a item significant to me.
I would definitely recommend this candle to other practioners but would also advise that they be wary and pay very close attention that first day and make sure their flame doesn't go askew or get smothered by the coin. I also want to note that this candle didn't "fix" my current issues, but helped me gain the clarity and power to handle my business. I'm back, baby!
When I came across this candle i was overly excited. The candle came wrapped perfectly. Normally my mail people break any an everything but not this. The only misfortunate thing about my candle is how it burned. the wick was off center so it’s burning uneven. Aside from this I love the candle but since it is burning in the manner i have to keep a close eye on it
The candle has not been lit yet, and already it has taught me the lesson of waiting for the right moment and having all information before making a move (as a queen would). I can only imagine all the growth I will achieve once the candle is lit like a beacon.
