Lodestones

Lodestones are naturally magnetized iron stones.

They have been prized from antiquity as potent items, imbued by nature with a force far beyond the average rock.

Virtually all conjure traditions in the Americas recommend the use of lodestones for attraction - whether to attract prosperity, love, attention, or whatever else.

Generally, a petition is prepared stating what the operator wishes to attract, and this is placed beneath the lodestone in a dish. Each cay, the operator sprinkles some iron filings (aka magnetic sand) to feed the lodestone. A typical conjuration would be:

Lodestone, I conjure you. As I feed and strengthen you, so you will feed and strengthen me. As I provide your sustenance, so you will draw my sustenance. As you have been created with the power to draw and attract, so I offer you this iron as food, and ask you to draw and attract that which I seek.
