Fixed Silver Mercury Dime – The Essence of Luck and Protection in Conjure

About Mercury Dimes: Mercury dimes embody the very essence of luck in conjure and are employed for anything associated with Mercury: luck, skill, wit, intellect, talent, charm, cunning, communication, transcendence of boundaries, and more. Traditionally carried in odd numbers, with 13 often considered the luckiest, these dimes are a powerful tool in 20th-century conjure, with some old-timers saying, "you can't do no real conjure" without one.

Mercury Dimes are 90% silver dimes produced as US currency from 1916-1944. They are carried in the pocket or worn on the neck or ankle for protection and luck. Loose, they can be used in a wide range of spiritual works, including road opening, stopping gossip, attracting communication, and many more. They are fantastic in amulets, mojo hands, on the altar, as divination coins, boiled in your spiritual baths, used to pay the spirits, added to bottles of cologne or spiritual oils, stored with your divination tools, and more.

In my own experience, carrying 13 Mercury dimes has brought about the most improbable luck I've ever had—running into old friends literally as I'm speaking about them, having things I'm looking for offered to me by strangers, and experiencing incredible synchronicities.

About the Preparation: With Mercury moving retrograde shortly, I was called to prepare some road-opening dimes, which required a little fieldwork.

I approached the crossroads facing east, carrying a clay bowl of Mercury dimes. I walked to the middle, poured libations, and, without a word, dug a small hole. Using the dirt I dug up, I covered the Mercury dimes in the bowl and set the clay bowl into the earth.

This bowl has been worked and fed for road opening for about 35 months, with dirt collected from this crossroads over the years. It feels right at home buried in the middle.

I sprayed whiskey infused with Abre Camino to the four roads, then dressed the dirt of the bowl with road opener powder and Gatecrasher cologne, and gave it fire.

The wind picked up suddenly, roaring, sending my heart racing—a familiar presence. The spirit of the crossroads is often said to test the nerves before acquiescing to anything.

Staring resolutely into the swirling confusion, I felt the fear and conjured the spirit of the crossroads, my left leg shivering.

The flames responded. I made my offering and issued my request. The roaring persisted.

When it passed, I sprinkled dirt onto the flames, leaving the layer of road opener to burn like incense until it went out.

I left a handful of coins in the center of the crossroads as payment and collected the bowl.
