Saint Benedict Vade Retro Daily Devotions Prayer Card 2.0 – A Powerful Shield Against Adversaries

The Saint Benedict Medal is a trusted exorcist’s weapon, serving as both a shield and a sword against infernal adversaries, whether within oneself or in another who is being tormented. These prayer cards are printed on high-quality heavy stock with metallic gold foil fronts and full-color backs for increased readability. All cards are laminated for regular carry or heavy altar use, ensuring durability.

How to Use the Card:

  • Personal Protection: Carry this card in your pocket, wallet, or purse to keep the protection of Saint Benedict with you at all times.
  • Home and Vehicle Protection: Place the card in your home or car to ward off negative influences and ensure a peaceful environment.
  • Ritual Use: Incorporate the card into your daily prayers or spiritual rituals, using its powerful symbolism and the exorcism prayer to strengthen your defenses against spiritual adversaries.
  • Property Protection: Bury the card at the four corners of your property or place it above doorways to protect your home, business, or any sacred space from evil forces.

Complex Symbolism:

  • Rule and Raven: In Saint Benedict's left hand is his Rule for Monasteries, encapsulated in the Prolog’s exhortation to "walk in God's ways, with the Gospel as our guide." The pedestal to the right shows the poisoned cup, which shattered when Saint Benedict made the sign of the cross over it, while the pedestal to the left features a raven about to carry away a loaf of poisoned bread sent by a jealous enemy.

  • C. S. P. B.: Above the cup and raven are the Latin words Crux s. patris Benedicti (The Cross of our holy father Benedict). Encircling the figure of Saint Benedict on the medal’s margin are the words Eius in obitu nostro praesentia muniamur! (May we be strengthened by his presence in the hour of our death!). Saint Benedict is regarded as a special patron of a happy death, having died with his arms raised to heaven, supported by the brothers of the monastery shortly after receiving Holy Communion.

Reverse Side of the Medal:

  • Crux Mihi Lux: The cross dominates the back of the medal. The arms of the cross bear the initial letters of the rhythmic Latin prayer: Crux sacra sit mihi lux! Nunquam draco sit mihi dux! (May the holy cross be my light! May the dragon never be my guide!). In the angles of the cross, the letters C S P B stand for Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti (The cross of our holy father Benedict).

  • Peace: Above the cross is the word Pax (peace), a Benedictine motto for centuries. Encircling the back of the medal are the letters V R S N S M V - S M Q L I V B, which represent the initial letters of a Latin prayer of exorcism against Satan: Vade retro Satana! Nunquam suade mihi vana! Sunt mala quae libas. Ipse venena bibas! (Begone Satan! Never tempt me with your vanities! What you offer me is evil. Drink the poison yourself!).

Carry the Saint Benedict Vade Retro Daily Devotions Prayer Card with you to invoke protection, peace, and the powerful intercession of Saint Benedict in your daily life.
